Physical Description:
Yellow rich cream.
Key ingredients:
Hydroquinone (4%): Hydroquinone is a powerful skin-lightening agent commonly used to treat hyperpigmentation, such as dark spots, melasma, and freckles. It works by inhibiting the production of melanin, the pigment responsible for skin color. This results in the gradual lightening of the affected areas, leading to a more even skin tone. Regular use of Hydroquinone can significantly diminish the appearance of discoloration and contribute to a clearer, more uniform complexion.
Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C): The ultimate brightening agent, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) works tirelessly to diminish dark spots, promote collagen production, and unveil a luminous complexion. It helps improve wrinkles and loss of firmness due to sun damage.
Tretinoin (0.05%): Tretinoin, a potent retinoid, functions by accelerating skin cell turnover. It promotes the shedding of old, damaged skin cells and encourages the growth of new ones. This process reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, enhances skin texture, and stimulates collagen production, resulting in firmer and more youthful-looking skin.
Non-medicinal ingredients:
ceteareth-15, cetyl alcohol, chlorocresol, mineral oil, phosphoric acid, polyethylene glycol 1000, propylene glycol, purified water, sodium hydroxide, stearyl alcohol, and white petrolatum.
polyoxyl stearate, stearyl alcohol, stearic acid, isopropyl palmitate, white petrolatum (paraffin), butylated hydroxytoluene, butylated hydroxyanisole, propylparaben, methylparaben, edetate disodium, propylene glycol, and purified water.
How to use:
Apply at night before bed time, apply a small amount to the darker areas that you want to target, do not apply to the whole face. New tretinoin users should consider introducing Lumina slowly into their regimen, e.g., every other night. It is not recommended to use other active ingredients on nights when Lumina is applied, due to potential chemical incompatibility and irritation. Apply moisturizer 10-15 minutes after application. Sunscreen during the day is required. Minimum of SPF30.
